Hope Springs Eternal

Don't you just love this time of year when you start getting all the garden catalogs and your heart and mind start thinking about what you will be doing in the spring?

I may not get outside much right now when its so cold and wet but I can dream. I think about the plant exchange I am going to have the first Saturday in May and the plants I want to divide for that. I think about the bulbs I planted in the fall and how they are going to look. About the garden and what I will plant. And the list goes on and on.

I love being in and cuddling up with the pugs in a chair with a blanket and good book and a cup of tea or coffee. I have about three or four books going at once and always about four magazines. And cooking and baking are big on my list also. I love cookbooks and reading all about different foods.

Here a few of the catalogs I have received that I really like.

Love the hand with the tomato on Baker Creek.

These are all inspiring.

This picture makes my want to eat some tomatoes right out of her basket.

I was invited over to my Dad's yesterday to have lunch and see two of my cousins and their wives that I haven't seen in about 20 years. Had a really good time getting reacquinted. Thanks Dad and lee. Of course I didn't think to take my camera so I could get some pictures. But hopefully we will be able to get together again in the coming year.

Next week I will be in Utah visiting my sister who is going to be house sitting for some friends. We're hoping to do some hiking, if the weather is warm enough. I plan to take both my camera and computer so I may get to blog some.

I had written a post on the 4th that never posted so I hope this one will. I pray all of you are doing well and staying warm and dry. Have a great weekend.

Tata for now.

So nice of you to visit me in the Hollow. At this time of year, I too, am usually pouring over the garden catalogs with notebooks and ideas galore...planning new arbors, fences and rock walls. It is fun to dream of what our gardens will become with a cuppa tea in one hand and a pencil in the other. I love the illustration from that Nichols Garden Nursery.

We're on the same pages dear, in the same catalogs. They're piling up and I need to take time to dream.

Have fun!

Thanks for the seed catalog ideas. I wasn't sure which ones to order, but now I will look them up and look forward to surprises in the mail!
